Huereque
Origin: Mexico Huereque is recognized for its medicinal functions, mainly its root is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes (internally, taken as tea, liquid extract or in capsules). In external application, it is applied as a skin disinfectant.
It can be used in different ways to take advantage of its medicinal benefits. As an infusion, boil approximately 10 grams of the plant in a liter of water for 10 minutes. It is recommended to drink a cup of this infusion a day. Likewise, the huereque leaves can also be crushed and used in the form of plasters to treat wounds or skin conditions.
