Guarumbo, or also known as “yarumo” or “guarumo”, is traditionally used for various medicinal uses. It is used in the treatment of diabetes, asthma, St. Vitus’ disease, liver diseases, obesity and to remove warts.
To use guarumbo for medicinal purposes, you can use the leaves, branches, bark or root. For example, to treat diabetes, the infusion of these parts of the plant is used as drinking water. For blood pressure problems and kidney problems, it is recommended to cook the plant for ingestion on an empty stomach for at least a week.
