Origin: Central America and the Caribbean. Toad herb, or also known as “coriander”, “wide coriander” or “broad-leaf coriander”, is used in traditional medicine for its medicinal and culinary properties. It has been used as a digestive, to relieve stomach problems, colic and flatulence. It has also been used as an appetite stimulant and to treat respiratory conditions.

To prepare toad grass, both the leaves and the stems can be used. It is recommended to finely chop the leaves and add them to salads, soups, stews or any dish that requires a fresh and aromatic touch. You can also prepare an infusion by adding a teaspoon of dried leaves to a cup of hot water and letting it sit for a few minutes before straining and drinking.
