Origin: Amazon rainforest and other parts of South America. The bowwood is used in traditional medicine for its healing properties. Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungal and analgesic properties are attributed to it. It is used to treat fungal infections, strengthen the immune system and relieve pain. It has also been traditionally used to treat skin problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, and fungal infections.
