Origin: Mexico Among the medicinal properties of tlanchalagua are its diuretic capacity, its detoxifying effect and its potential to help with weight loss. Anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antibiotic properties are also attributed to it. It has been traditionally used to treat urinary tract infections, improve digestion and purify the body.

To prepare tlanchalagua tea, the dried leaves of the herb are used. It is recommended to chop the leaves and add two tablespoons per liter of boiled water. The mixture is then filtered and allowed to rest for approximately 5 minutes.
