Tronadora
Origin: Mexico The tronadora is mainly used to treat digestive problems, respiratory ailments and gynecological disorders due to its content of more than 50 chemical components. Among the medicinal properties of tronadora are its ability to relieve liver problems, combat respiratory diseases such as the common cold, function as an antitussive and act as a diuretic. It has also been traditionally used to treat urinary conditions, skin problems and as a hypoglycemic agent in the treatment of diabetes.
To prepare the thunderhead, the leaves, flowers and bark of the plant can be used. It is recommended to make an infusion by adding a tablespoon of tronadora leaves to a cup of boiling water. Let it rest for a few minutes and then strain it before consuming.
